KiDiMu Preschool Assistant Teacher
KiDiMu is seeking a motivated, compassionate professional who is passionate about early childhood education to join our preschool team as a Preschool Assistant Teacher. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a play-based learning environment that supports curiosity, creativity, and inclusion.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Lead Teacher to support engaging activities and learning exercises while helping maintain a positive, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for all children. You may lead small group activities, assist in supervising both indoor and outdoor free play, and help foster social-emotional growth in each child.
Additional responsibilities include helping track student behavior and progress, supporting communication with families, and contributing to a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Job Duties
- Assist lead teacher with activities and instruction
- Help maintain records of student progress and needs

- Assist during snack time and student restroom breaks
- Accompany class during nature walks and field trips
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working with preschool age children in an educational environment
- A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible, patient, great sense of humor

Compensation
This is a part-time position for the 2025–2026 school year, scheduled for 22.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8AM-12:30PM. Compensation range: $18.50–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

KiDiMu Visitor Services Lead
Kids Discovery Museum is looking for qualified candidates to support our front of house staff and the visitor experience. The Visitor Services Lead supports our mission as our first point of contact to museum visitors and program attendees onsite.
Job Duties
- Oversee the operation of the front of house admission area, which includes daily ticket sales; membership sales, guest check-in; and ongoing customer service.
- Manage the museum while open and act as the first point of contact to museum visitors.
- Supervise volunteer docents and visitor services assistants to ensure exhibits and programs are adequately staffed and supported during visitor hours.
- Inspect and monitor (“walk the floor”) of the museum’s facility and exhibits to ensure the facility is in good condition and visitors are properly serviced.
- Assist the Director of Visitor Services in creating and updating documentation necessary to communicate echibit and museum-wide repairs to maintenance personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience handling money and working in a public-facing position required.
- Experience supervising staff and fostering accountability is strongly desired.
- Experience with point of sale or database software preferred.
- Ability to take initiative and handle multiple tasks preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills as a commitment to the museum’s educational mission.
- A successful candidate must love working with families and be outgoing, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- At least one year of professional customer service background is desired.
- High school diploma or GED required, A.A. or higher preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Must be 21+

Compensation
This is a part-time position with compensation starting at $19 and a guarantee of one 8 hour shift each week.

Weekday Visitor Services Associate
Kids Discovery Museum is looking for qualified candidates to support our front of house staff and the visitor experience. The Visitor Services Associate supports our mission as our floor staff to museum visitors and program attendees onsite.
Job Duties
- Greet and assist visitors with a smile.
- Answer questions and provide friendly customer service.
- Engage kids in hands-on exhibits and fun activities.
- Help keep the museum safe and clean.
- A successful candidate must love working with families and be outgoing, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Qualifications
- Previous babysitting or customer service experience desired, but not required.
- Experience or desire to work with a diverse audience in a busy atmosphere.
- Interest or experience in working with children and families in an informal educational setting.
- Ability to interact positively and spontaneously with visitors.
- Ability to contribute to an atmosphere of teamwork and positive energy among staff and volunteers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact-effectively and respectfully with adults and children of all ages.
- Must be 16 years of age.
Compensation
$16.66 with at least 20 hours a week, mostly Monday-Friday.
