Welcome to KiDiMu!

For 20 years, the Kid’s Discovery Museum on Bainbridge Island has been a hub for early childhood development, creating experiences centered on playful learning that supports the broader community and children’s current and emerging needs. We serve Kitsap County families through engaging museum programming, enhanced exhibits, and a safe, nurturing space where children can grow, discover, and be inspired!

Updated Hours and Events

Hello everyone,

Beginning Thursday, February 5, 2026 we will be operating under adjusted museum hours due to short staffing. This schedule will remain in place at least for the next 3 months. We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we make these temporary changes.

Weekday Member Hours (Tuesday–Friday)

During the week, the museum will be open exclusively to member grandparents, nannies, parents (caregivers) with children.

Hours:
🕙 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pre-registration is required, and attendance will be limited to 20 total participants per time slot
(each adult or child counts as one participant). NO walk-ins accepted.

We are open to members and non-members on weekends:

Art Walk – Drop-off or drop-in

Night at the Mini-Museum – Drop-off only
Second & Third Fridays of every month*Pre-registration is required, and attendance will be limited to 20 total participants. No walk-ins accepted.
Adults with Special Needs Night
Fourth Friday of every month *Pre-registration is required, and attendance will be limited to 20 total participants. No walk-ins accepted.

Birthday Parties

🎉 Birthday parties are available on the 5th Friday of the month and Saturdays & Sundays:

Before regular hours (8am-10am) *same fee as after hours
During open hours (10am-6pm)
After hours (6pm-8pm)

All birthday parties require advance registration and pre-payment.
No walk-ins will be accepted.

Their adventure leads them to discover strange, friendly creatures (which are the new puppets designed by the Jim Henson Creature Shop) and a plot by a scheming neighbor to steal Aunt Cly`s prize-winning, hormone-injected turkeys. The children must work with the monsters to solve the mystery and save the day. The film is narrated by Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.
