Is my child too old/young to enjoy KiDiMu?
Our exhibits and activities are designed for children between 6 months and 10 years.

Can anyone visit the Museum?
We have a “no adults alone” policy. If you would like a guided tour, please call ahead or check in at the front desk. Our staff would be happy to assist you. You can schedule a tour by contacting us at 206-855-4650 or learnmore@kidimu.org.

Can I drop my child off at the Museum?
Children must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years old) unless attending a drop-off program such as a camp or workshop.

Do you offer membership options?
Yes. Learn more about the levels and membership perks.

Is the museum within walking distance from the ferry terminal?
Yes, KiDiMu is located just off of Winslow Way, just half-a-block away from the terminal.

Can I bring food/drinks?
We do not allow food in the museum, however food and drinks must be enjoyed at our picnic table at the front of our building or at the Island Gateway Plaza tables.

Is the Museum wheelchair-accessible?
Yes! Our building is ADA-accessible.

Can I bring my stroller inside the museum?
No. There is designated stroller parking located outside of the museum.

May I bring my child’s class or an organized group in for a visit?
Yes, field trips and groups are welcome! Please call ahead to make a reservation 206-855-4650 or email learnmore@kidimu.org.

Are there other family-friendly attractions nearby?
KiDiMu is conveniently located in downtown Bainbridge Island within walking distance to parks, beaches, restaurants, and shops. We are happy to give you directions and recommendations!

What is the cost of admission?
Members FREE

Prices are per person.

*The Museums for All rate is $3 per person with proof of participation in the following programs: EBT, CHIP, Provider One, or WIC. The rate covers the card holders and all dependent children in the household. We offer the Museums for All rate to foster families.

What if we cannot afford to pay?
We believe museums are for everyone. If your family is unable to afford a Museum membership or admission, you may qualify for a reduced-fee or free pass or membership if you are:

  • Eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch Program

  • Receiving public assistance

  • Having difficult financial circumstances

KiDiMu participates in the Museums for All initiative offering $3 admission or $30 membership to participants of the following programs: EBT, CHIP, Provider One, or WIC. The rate applies to the card holders and all dependent children in the household. Foster Families are also offered the Museums for All rate. Proof of participation in the programs is required upon admission.
